Introductory Course – Sailing
Do you like the sea? Would you like to learn how to navigate?
In this introductory course you will learn how to handle a small and light boat and you will understand the basic essentials of sailing.
It is a perfect complement to your Spanish course in Valencia: Classes in the morning in school and sailing in the afternoon.
When?
From July to September; courses start every two weeks. Monday and Wednesday from 16:30 to 18:30.

Price: 40 EUROS (Insurance included). 2 Days, 4 Hours in total.
Where?
At the Marina Real Juan Carlos I which hosted the America´s Cup in 2007 and 2010 and has easy access to the harbour of Valencia.
How much does it cost?
The course consists of 2 lessons, each lasting 2 hours. It will be taught within one week and everything for the incredible price of 40 Euros. In addition, you can choose the week that suits you best.
What do you have to bring along?
Comfortable clothes, track suit, shoes with rubber soles, a hat/cap and sunscreen, change of clothes and a towel.
And you will even participate in a regatta!!!
We will compete with other Spanish language schools of Valencia in a regatta. Specific dates to be announced.
The price is 30 € (insurance included) and the activity lasts for 3 hours.
Weekly schedule
16 H – Introduction to the school. Explanation of the activities and the security standards and rules. Allocation of the groups to each of the activities which will be done in the lessons.
Start of the nautical activities:
Sailing in a collective boat: 4/5 students are in one sail boat with the instructor. Learning about steering and propulsion.
Sailing in individual boats or two-man boats:
In groups of two, students will get into the boats and the course instructor will monitor everything from a security boat. Basics of balance.
18 H – End of the activities
In the course of the 2 lessons the understanding of sail boat navigation will be improved, after the pedagogical guidelines have been laid out by the school.

Security
The area where the activities take place is limited.
All students will do the activities wearing life vests.
The students will at all times be attended by an instructor.
The activities are guided by instructors who are qualified through the respective organizations.
